DTF Artwork Guidelines
Use these guidelines to prepare artwork that prints cleanly, presses reliably, and stores well until you are ready to use it.
File requirements
- Resolution: 300 DPI at the final print size
- File type: Transparent PNG preferred
- Color mode: RGB for the best color accuracy
Design details
- Minimum line thickness: 0.5 mm (1.5 pt) is recommended
- Very thin lines: Anything below 0.35 mm (1 pt) may print inconsistently or break during application
Transparency and opacity
DTF printing does not support semi-transparent or low-opacity elements. Soft fades, reduced opacity, and transparency effects may print faded, spotty, or incomplete.
For the best result, flatten your artwork and use 100% solid colors and shapes.
Files are printed as submitted. Opacity-related print issues are not eligible for refunds or reprints.

Heat press instructions
Recommended: The final press improves durability and finish. Heat presses vary, so test one transfer first when using a new garment or press.
Before pressing
Shelf life and storage
For best adhesion, use transfers within 6 months and store them sealed, dry, cool, and flat.
Older transfer? Check for moisture, curling, cracking, or loose powder and test one first.
